LC/MC FerroChrome
FerroChrome is an alloy of chromium and iron containing between 50% and 70% chromium. The ferrochrome is produced by electric arc melting of chromite and chromium ore. The steel industry is the largest consumer of FerroChrome, with stainless steel production containing a chromium content of 10-20%.
FerroSilicon
Ferrosilicon is an alloy of iron and silicon containing 15 to 95 percent silicon and used for deoxidizing molten steel and making silicon steel and high-silicon cast iron.
High Carbon FerroChrome
High carbon ferrochrome represents a group of alloys with a chromium content typically between 60% and 70% and a carbon content typically between 4% and 6%. To meet this specification the alloy requires a chromite ore with a high Cr/Fe ratio (>2).
